Show Low Campus, Aspen Center, Room 103
Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to fight hunger. Artists and educators work with the community to create handcrafted bowls. Guests from the community are invited to a simple meal of soup and bread. In exchange for a cash donation, guests are asked to keep a bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. The money raised is donated to an organization working to end hunger and food insecurity.
For a donation of $10 at the Empty Bowls Community Event, you’ll receive a hand-crafted bowl, filled with hot soup from Persnikkity’s Cafe in Show Low and a freshly baked portion of bread. All proceeds go to The RE:center to aid in the fight against local hunger.
